Tabling: RVA No Kings Events

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Richmond’s No Kings movement will return to the streets later this month, with two rallies planned across the region on Saturday, March 28. UpVote has been offered the opportunity to talk to attendees about Ranked Choice Voting. We're looking forward to signing up new supporters and spreading the word about RCV to people who are concerned about the state of our democracy and looking for solutions.

Sign up for a slot here.

There are two events happening. One is a No Kings Protestsponsored by 50501, will be a rally and a march starting at Kanawha Plaza in downtown Richmond. Our volunteers will likely be a bit more "free range" here - distributing information and encouraging people to sign our RCV petition.

Date: March 28

Time: 12-3pm

Location: Kanawha Plaza

The other event is the Freedom Fest sponsored by RVA Indivisible. This event features live music and information tables, along with a march. Volunteers here will be based at a table where they can help attendees practice ranking with a mock election (favorite Starburst flavor) and sign the petition.

Date: March 28

Time: 1-3pm

Location: Monroe Park

UpVote Va is not a sponsor or organizer of either event - we remain committed to operating in a nonpartisan way. But we also know there are a lot of people frustrated right now - these events are a chance to meet them where they are and offer them a tangible step toward improving our democracy. I hope you can help us out!
