A house party is an inspiring event that takes elements from a friendly gathering, presentation, and donation ask. Anyone can grow the moment in this way! Invite friends to your home or other venue to learn about RCV, experience an RCV election, and contribute to the movement in any way they choose. For more information, see How to Host an In-Person House Party.
How to Host a House Party for UpVote
Invite friends, colleagues - anyone in your network who you think might be interested in possibly donating to support our work. There is no income requirement, just a good mix of people who would be engaged in the topic.
Plan your event. It could be BBQ on the porch, wine and cheese tasting, a room in a favorite restaurant, popcorn and lawn games. Make it a party that fits for you, and your guests will have a wonderful time!
Let your guests in on the issue you’ve chosen to commit to, with a presentation by a trained speaker from UpVote VA.
Give guests the opportunity to support you and the RCV movement by donating to UpVote Virginia. Donations to our 501(c)(3) are tax-deductible.
