GOVERNMENT transparency

It’s said that sunlight is the best disinfectant. But in Virginia, there are very few laws on the books regulating individual and corporate political contributions, and there is much more to be done to build on the ethics reforms passed in the last decade.

We believe that transparency is essential to a healthy democracy, and will utilize our dedicated statewide grassroots network to assist other nonpartisan organizations working on these issues to provide additional focus and strategy. 

We have seen what a difference transparency makes in the redistricting process, and applying that level of sunshine to other parts of governance would surely have similar effects.
