What's Next For Representation: Post-VRA Democracy

  • Richmond Public Library - Main Branch (Gellman Room) 101 East Franklin Street Richmond, Virginia, 23219 United States (map)

Join us for this important conversation. The recent Supreme Court decision (Louisiana v. Callais) has gutted the Voting Rights Act (VRA) so how can we ensure fair and equitable representation? We'll get into state VRAs, proportional representation, and creative civic engagement with our incredible panel.

Co-hosted by Richmond Crusade for Voters, The Humanization Project, and Nolef Turns.

Speakers include: Del. Rae Cousins (79th District), Del. Charlie Schmidt (77th District), Richard Walker (Richmond Crusade for Voters), Kenyatta Smith (Grow Democracy DC), Dr. Matthew Slaats (Richmond People’s Budget), and Sheba Williams (Nolef Turns.)
