Voter Resources in Advance of Election Day

WHAT VOTERS NEED TO KNOW:

  1. In Virginia, there is Same Day Voter Registration. All eligible voters can use this process to vote in-person at early voting locations through this Saturday, November 2, or at their polling location on Election Day, which is this Tuesday, November 5. You have the right to request a provisional ballot even if you are not on the voter roll.

  2. You can also check your registration status on the Virginia Department of Elections’ online citizens portal. This will also show you your precinct, in-person polling location, Congressional and state legislative districts, and contact information for your local registrar’s office.

  3. Finally, if you think you were purged from the voter rolls by mistake, we encourage you to contact the Election Protection coalition, a nonpartisan national group that can provide free resources to voters. They are available via phone or text in multiple languages at 866-OUR-VOTE.
